Abs Function Test
NOTE:
BRAKE warning light should remain illuminated if parking brake is applied with ignition on.
- Turn ignition on and note operation of ANTI-LOCK indicator light and BRAKE warning light on instrument panel. ANTI-LOCK indicator light and BRAKE warning light should illuminate for 2 seconds and then turn off.
- If ANTI-LOCK indicator light remains on, check for stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . If no DTCs are stored and ANTI-LOCK indicator light and/or BRAKE warning light do not function properly, perform appropriate system test according to symptom. See SYSTEM TEST DIRECTORY table.
