Anti-Theft System: Description

Anti-theft alarm system components consists of the anti-theft controller, anti-theft horn, indicator light, front door and tailgate key switch (detect and tamper switch), door lock controller, lock switch and actuator for each door, hood switch, clutch start switch (M/T) and mode switch (A/T).

Arming sequence is initiated with ignition switch in LOCK position and all doors and hood fully closed and locked. Anti-theft indicator light flashes for about 30 seconds, or until arming sequence is completed. When driver's door is locked using ignition key, anti-theft indicator light stays illuminated for about 8 seconds. Anti-theft system is now activated.

If any door, tailgate or hood is forcibly opened, anti-theft alarm system electrically disables starter, flashes headlights and sounds horn intermittently for 3 minutes. System will automatically shut off. System is deactivated by unlocking front door or tailgate using ignition key, or by turning ignition switch from OFF position to ACC position.
