Removal & Installation (Except 2.3L & 2.6L)

Bring cylinder No. 1 to TDC of compression stroke and align timing marks. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove high tension wires and distributor connector. Note direction of rotor points for installation reference. Remove mounting bolt and distributor. See Fig 1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Set ignition timing.
