Code 14 - Shorted Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. This step determines if coolant temperature sensor circuit is shorted.
  2. This step checks for grounded sensor wires.
  3. This step checks for bad ground to ECM.
