EGR System

EGR vacuum switching valve (VSV) is located behind distributor on non-turbo models and in front of brake booster on turbo models. To check EGR system, proceed to CHART C-7A under DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS.

NOTE: Ensure Code 24 or 34 is not stored before testing EGR system. See appropriate TESTS W/CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section.
