Cooling Fan THERMOSWITCH

  1. To test cooling fan thermoswitch, remove the thermoswitch from lower left side of the radiator. Heat thermoswitch in water to approximately 180-190°F (82-88°C).
  2. Using ohmmeter, ensure continuity exists between thermoswitch terminals. Reduce water temperature to approximately 167-178°F (75-81°C). Continuity should not exist between thermoswitch terminals. Replace thermoswitch if readings are not as specified.
