Retrieving Codes
- Remove left kick panel. Ground diagnostic lead and note ANTI-LOCK indicator light operation. See Figure. ANTI-LOCK indicator light will flash if a diagnostic code is stored in ECM memory.
- Count number of short flashes starting from long flash. Total number of counts indicates diagnostic code. See Figure.
- Long flash will remain on for approximately 1.4 seconds and then go off for .2 second. Diagnostic code then will flash for .2 second and then go off.
NOTE:
The long flash may be short because display started with count already in progress. If more than one system failure exists, only first diagnostic code will be retained in ECM memory.
- Once diagnostic code is obtained, diagnostic code can be used to determine system failure. See DIAGNOSTIC CODE IDENTIFICATION table. Perform test for proper diagnostic code. See Figure through Figure
. After repairs, clear diagnostic code. See CLEARING CODES.
