Ignition Switch

  1. Remove steering column cowl/shroud. Locate and disconnect 8-wire ignition switch connector. Identify ignition switch terminals. SeeFig 1 and Fig 2 . Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between ignition switch connector terminals according to switch positions in table. SeeFig 2 .

  2. If continuity does not exist as specified, replace ignition switch. If continuity is present and problem persists, check power to ignition switch and switch harness. See appropriate chassis wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS Section.
