Steering Column: Description

Steering columns incorporate plastic shear pins in the steering shafts. Upon frontal impact, the plastic pins will shear off, allowing the column to collapse.

CAUTION: Applying excessive pressure, or causing impact to mainshaft during service, may cause the column to collapse.
