Section 5 (Clutches): Description

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 1991 Isuzu Trooper, 1991 Isuzu Rodeo, 1991 Isuzu Pickup, 1991 Isuzu Amigo, and 1990 Isuzu Trooper. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The clutch assembly is a single disc type with a diaphragm spring. Rodeo and Trooper clutches are operated by a master cylinder mounted on the firewall and a slave cylinder mounted on the clutch housing.

Amigo and Pickup use different clutch control systems, depending on engine displacement. Clutches on 2.3L engines are operated by a cable. On 2.6L and 3.1L engines, clutches are hydraulically operated.
