Clearing Trouble Codes

  1. After repairs are performed, clear ECM memory of all stored trouble codes. To clear memory, turn ignition off. On I-Mark models, remove "ECM" fuse (30A) from fuse block located in left front corner of engine compartment for at least 30 seconds. Replace fuse.
  2. Trouble codes can be cleared by disconnecting vehicle battery. However, other memory functions (clock, radio, etc.), will need to be reset.
CAUTION: Ensure ignition is off when disconnecting or reconnecting power supply to ECM.
