Fuel-Cut (Slow-Cut) Solenoid Circuit

With ignition on and engine stopped, disconnect 12-pin carburetor connector. See Figure . Check voltage from harness connector terminal A to B. If voltage reads greater than 8 volts, check the solenoid. Refer to FUEL-CUT (SLOW-CUT) SOLENOID heading under FUEL CONTROL COMPONENTS  in this article. If voltage is less than 8 volts, check battery voltage. If okay, harness from ignition to terminal A is open or shorted.
