Ignition Coil Power Source (I-Mark)

Turn ignition on. Using voltmeter, check for battery voltage between coil positive terminal and ground. See Fig 1 . If battery voltage is not present, check wiring between ignition switch and ignition assembly.

NOTE: For I-Mark ignition coil voltage and resistance checks, distributor cap and rotor must be removed.
