Throttle Position Sensor: I-Mark
- Ensure TPS retaining screws are tight. Check that there is no play in TPS arm and primary throttle valve arm. Connect an ohmmeter to Green and Black TPS wires.CAUTION: During TPS checking procedure, test connections should be connected for minimum period of time.
- Open throttle about 1/3. Ohmmeter should show no continuity. Gradually close throttle lever. Continuity should exist when primary throttle valve reaches prescribed clearance between valve and bore. See TPS CLEARANCE SPECIFICATIONS table.
- Adjust clearance by loosening TPS screws. Recheck continuity and clearance after adjustment.
