Line Pressure Test
- Ensure transmission fluid is at normal operating temperature. Remove plug from transmission case and install Pressure Gauge (J-29770). See Fig 1 .
- Apply parking brake and chock wheels. Start engine. Ensure idle speed is within manufacturer's specifications. Place transmission in "D" range. Check line pressure at specified engine RPM. See LINE PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS table. Repeat procedure in "R" range. Compare all readings to specification. See LINE PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS table.
