Ignition Timing

Ensure engine is at normal operating temperature. Connect timing light to either No. 1 or No. 4 cylinder. Loosen distributor clamping bolts and turn distributor in either direction until timing is within specifications. See Fig 1 and IGNITION TIMING  table.

(1) With vacuum hose connected. Ignition timing is 3 degrees BTDC with vacuum hose disconnected and plugged.
