Shift Linkage

  1. Loosen shift control rod adjusting nuts on transmission. Turn manual shaft fully clockwise as viewed from right side (left side on P'UP) of transmission. Turn back to 3rd stop and set shaft in "N" position.
  2. On all models, place transmission in "N", ensure manual shift lever is in vertical position. Hold manual shaft in this position and place shift lever in "N".
  3. To remove play, tighten adjusting nuts with control shaft lever pushed rearward together with shift control lever. Road test vehicle. Ensure shift lever moves properly and transmission operates smoothly.
