Shift Linkage

  1. Loosen shift control rod adjusting nuts on transmission. Turn manual shaft fully clockwise as viewed from right side of transmission. Turn back to 3rd stop and set shaft in "N" position.
  2. With transmission in "N", check that manual shift lever is in vertical position. Hold manual shaft in position and place shift lever in "N".
  3. To remove play, tighten adjusting nuts with control shaft lever pushed rearward together with shift control lever. Road test vehicle to ensure that shift lever moves properly and transmission operates smoothly.
