System Check

  1. Disconnect coolant thermal switch at thermostat housing (front switch). Turn ignition on. Glow plug relay No. 1 (right fenderwell) should make a clicking noise 5-9 seconds after ignition is turned on.
  2. Measure voltage between ground and any glow plug terminal. At least 8-9 volts should be present after ignition is turned on.
