A/C AUTO AMP. INPUT SIGNAL
| Component parts | Signal description |
|---|---|
| Integral switch (heated steering wheel switch) | Transmits the heated steering wheel switch signal to the A/C auto amp. via LIN communication. |
| Heated steering wheel relay and back-up lamp relay (heated steering wheel relay) | Transmits the heated steering wheel relay and back-up lamp relay (heated steering wheel relay) signal to the A/C auto amp. |
System Description
The heated steering wheel switch controls the heated steering wheel relay and back-up lamp relay (heated steering wheel relay) through the A/C auto amp. When the switch is turned on, the relay is energized and the heated steering system will operate. The heated steering system will turn off when the steering wheel temperature reaches approximately 86°F (30°C). Heated steering system operation can also be canceled by pressing the heated steering wheel switch again. If the surface temperature of the steering wheel is below 68°F (20°C), the system will heat the steering wheel and cycle off and on to maintain a temperature above 68°F (20°C). The indicator light will remain on as long as the system is on.
