Removal and Installation: Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- Torque steering gear (1) bolts to specification in the sequence shown, below.

CAUTION:
Do not reuse steering gear nuts.After installing steering gear, check alignment of inner guide to dash panel as follows:
- If steering gear was replaced, remove outer guide (2) from inside of dash panel (1).
NOTE:
The outer guide will only be on a replacement steering gear.

- Check that white edge (2) of inner guide is visible through dash panel (1). If inner guide is not properly aligned, re-adjust by hand until properly aligned.
