Confirmation Procedure

If DTC P23EB is displayed with the following DTC, first perform the confirmation procedure (trouble diagnosis) for the applicable DTC.

• P0021
• P34A8
• P34A9
• P34AA
• P34AB
• P34B0
• P34B1

Is DTC P0021, P34A8, P34A9, P34AA, P34AB, P34B0 or P34B1 detected?

YES

Perform diagnosis of applicable.

• DTC P0021: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P34A8: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P34A9: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P34AA: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P34AB: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P34B0: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P34B1: Refer to DTC Description .

NO

GO TO 2.

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

TESTING CONDITION:

Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 11 V when ignition switch ON.

GO TO 3.

1. Start the engine and wait at least 5 seconds.
2. Check DTC.

Is DTC P23EB detected?

YES

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure .

NO

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Inspection .

NO

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
