Component Inspection
- CHECK EXHAUST CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR-I
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect exhaust CMP sensor harness connector.
- Remove the sensor. Refer to CAMSHAFT : Exploded View .
- Visually check the sensor for chipping.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 2.
NO
Replace the malfunctioning exhaust CMP sensor. Refer to CAMSHAFT : Exploded View .
- CHECK EXHAUST CMP SENSOR-II
Check resistance exhaust CMP sensor terminals as follows.
