Work Procedure (After Replacing Air Bag Diagnosis Sensor Unit)
- CHECK 'OPERATION LOG'
With CONSULT
Check Operation Log saved before replacing air bag diagnosis sensor unit, according to the procedure of "Programming" in CONSULT Operation Information.
NOTE:- Log in to the network, according to the CONSULT screen.
- Air bag diagnosis sensor unit part number is saved in Operating Log saved in CONSULT.
- For the vehicle that the programming is to be performed, check if Operation Log of Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is in Saved Data List.
Is there an applicable Operation Log in the Saved Data List?
YES
GO TO 2.
NO
GO TO 3.
- PERFORM AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT PROGRAMMING
With CONSULT
Perform air bag diagnosis sensor unit programming, according to "Programming" of CONSULT Operation Information. Refer to CONSULT Operation Information.
CAUTION: During programming, maintain the following conditions:- Ignition switch: ON
- Electric load: OFF
- Brake pedal: Not depressed
- Battery voltage: 12 - 13.5 V (Check the value displayed on the CONSULT screen.)
NOTE: Log in to the network, according to the CONSULT screen.GO TO 5.
- READ IN AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT PART NUMBER BY 'FAST LINKED'
Obtain air bag diagnosis sensor unit part number by NISSAN PARTS CATALOGUE GLOBAL Web-FAST, according to the procedure of 'FAST linked' in CONSULT Operation Information. Refer to CONSULT Operation Information.
NOTE: 'FAST linked' allows an appropriate programming by obtaining ECU part number from NISSAN PARTS CATALOGUE GLOBAL Web-FAST even when the part number cannot be obtained from the lod ECU used before replacing with a new one.GO TO 4.
- PERFORM PROGRAMMING (FAST LINKED)
With CONSULT
Perform air bag diagnosis sensor unit programming according to the procedure of FAST linked in CONSULT Operation Information. Refer to CONSULT Operation Information.
CAUTION: During programming, maintain the following conditions:- Ignition switch: ON
- Electric load: OFF
- Brake pedal: Not depressed
- Battery voltage: 12 - 13.5 V (Check the value displayed on the CONSULT screen.)
NOTE: Log in to the network, according to the CONSULT screen.GO TO 5.
- PERFORM CONFIGURATION (WRITING VEHICLE SPECIFICATION)
With CONSULT
Perform configuration. Refer to Description .
NOTE: Log in to the network, according to the CONSULT screen.GO TO 6.
- PERFORM LEARN KEY NUMBER
With CONSULT
- Select "AIR BAG" >> "Work support" >> "Learn key number".
- Follow the instruction of CONSULT display. Refer to CONSULT Function .
GO TO 7.
- PERFORM LOCK ECU
With CONSULT
- Select "AIR BAG" >> "Work support" >> "Lock ECU".
- Follow the instruction of CONSULT display. Refer to CONSULT Function .
GO TO 8.
- CHECK DTC
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Close the doors and wait for 5 minutes or more.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check DTC. If DTC is displayed, erase it.
