Component Inspection

  1. CHECK REMOTE ENGINE START RELAY 
    1. Apply voltage of 12 V between the remote engine start relay. connector terminals 1 and 2.
      CAUTION:
      • Never cause shorting between terminals.
      • Connect the fuse between the terminals when applying the voltage.
    2. Check continuity between the remote engine start relay connector terminals 3 and 5.

    Continuity

    Terminal

    3 - 5

    Apply voltage between terminals 1 and 2.

    Existed

    Do not apply voltage between terminals 1 and 2.

    Not existed

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    INSPECTION END

    NO

    Replace remote engine start relay. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION .
