DTC Description

DTC DETECTION LOGIC 

POSSIBLE CAUSE 

• Force motor angle sensor
• Sensor circuit (between steering force control module and force motor angle sensor) is open or short.
• Steering force control module

Fail-Safe 

• Mode 1 or Mode 2
  NOTE: For details of fail-safe, refer to Fail-safe .

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE 

1. PRECONDITIONING 

   If "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

   GO TO 2.

2. DTC REPRODUCTION PROCEDURE 

   With CONSULT

   1. Start the engine.
      CAUTION: Never drive the vehicle.
   2. Turn the steering wheel from full left stop to full right stop.
   3. Perform self-diagnosis for "EPS/DAST 3".

   Is DTC "C13D4-00" detected?

   YES

   Proceed to diagnosis procedure. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure .

   NO

   To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident .

   NO

   Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
