Diagnosis Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Infiniti QX50. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. CHECK CONTINUITY REQUEST SIGNAL CIRCUIT

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect satellite radio tuner connector and AV control unit connector.
    3. Check continuity between satellite radio tuner harness connector and AV control unit harness connector.

    4. Check continuity between satellite radio tuner harness connector and ground.

      B236 8 Not existed

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 2. 

    NO 

    Repair harness or connector.

  2. CHECK COMMUNICATION SIGNAL

    1. Connect satellite radio tuner connector and AV control unit connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Check signal between satellite radio tuner harness connector and ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Replace AV control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO 

    Replace satellite radio tuner. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
