Disassembly And Assembly: Disassembly

CAUTION:

Disassemble and assemble steering gear assembly by fixing the mounting area with a vise using copper plates.
Make sure that the workplace is clean when carrying out the work described below and while performing repairs. Before starting the repair remove any loose soiling from the steering gear assembly without using cleaning agent.

Loosen outer socket lock nut , and remove outer socket .

Remove outer socket lock nut.
Remove boot clamps , and remove boot from inner socket .

Remove inner socket from gear housing assembly .

Perform inspection after disassembly. Refer to INSPECTION .
