Transfer Fluid: Refilling

  1. Remove filler plug (1). Fill up with new transfer fluid up to mounting hole for the filler plug.

    Fluid grade and Viscosity : Refer to FLUIDS AND LUBRICANTS .
    Fluid capacity : Refer to GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS .
    CAUTION:

    Carefully fill the fluid. (Fill up for approximately 3 minutes.)

  2. Leave the vehicle for 3 minutes, and check the fluid level again.
  3. Set a new gasket onto filler plug, and install it on transfer and tighten to the specified torque.
    Specified torque : 48 N•m (4.9 kg - m, 35 ft - lb)
    CAUTION:

    Never reuse gasket.

  4. Perform learning of transfer fluid viscosity. Refer to WORK PROCEDURE .
