Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK DTC WITH BCM
Check "Self diagnostic result" with CONSULT-III. Refer to DTC INDEX .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 2.
NO: Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
- CHECK PNP SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect IPDM E/R connector E5.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.TERMINALS VOLTAGE REFERENCE
(+) (-) Condition Voltage (V) (Approx.) IPDM E/R Connector Terminal E5 30 Ground Selector lever P or N Battery voltage Other than above 0
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NO: GO TO 3.
- CHECK PNP SWITCH CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect TCM connector E5.
- Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and TCM harness connector.TERMINALS CONTINUITY REFERENCE
IPDM E/R TCM Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal E5 30 F51 9 Existed - Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.TERMINALS CONTINUITY REFERENCE
IPDM E/R Ground Continuity Connector Terminal E5 30 Not existed
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 4.
NO: Repair or replace harness or connector.
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .
