Component Inspection (Brake Switch)
- CHECK BRAKE SWITCH-1
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect brake switch harness connector.
- Check the continuity between brake switch terminals as per the following condition.
Brake switch Condition Continuity + - Terminal 1 2 Brake pedal Slightly depressed Existed Fully released Not existed Is the inspection result normal?
YES: INSPECTION END
NO: GO TO 2.
- CHECK BRAKE SWITCH-2
- Adjust brake switch installation. Refer to "INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT ".
- Check the continuity between brake switch terminals as per the following condition.
Brake switch Condition Continuity + - Terminal 1 2 Brake pedal Slightly depressed Existed Fully released Not existed Is the inspection result normal?
YES: INSPECTION END
NO: Replace brake switch. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
