Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect rear window defogger connector.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between rear window defogger harness connector and ground.VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION
(+) (-) Condition Voltage (V) (Approx.) Rear window defogger Connector Terminal D103 1 Ground Rear window defogger switch ON Battery voltage OFF 0 Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 2.
NO: GO TO 4.
- CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER GROUND CIRCUIT
- CHECK FILAMENT
Refer to "INSPECTION AND REPAIR ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 5.
NO: Repair filament.
- CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.
- Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and rear window defogger harness connector.CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION
IPDM E/R Rear window defogger Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal E11 14 D103 1 Existed - Check continuity between IPDM E/R connector and ground.CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION
IPDM E/R Ground Continuity Connector Terminal E11 14 Not existed Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 5.
NO: Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Check intermittent incident.
Refer to "INTERMITTENT INCIDENT ".
