Removal and Installation: Removal

Drain ATF through drain plug.
Remove exhaust mounting bracket with power tool. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
Disconnect heated oxygen sensor 2 connectors (A).

Remove heated oxygen sensor 2 harness (B) from clips (1).
Remove bracket (2) from A/T assembly. Refer to "2WD : REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " (2WD) or "AWD : REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " (AWD).
Remove clips (1).

Remove oil pan (2) and oil pan gasket.
Remove magnets (1) from oil pan.

Remove snap ring (1) from A/T assembly connector (2).

Push A/T assembly connector (1).

Disconnect output speed sensor connector (A).
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage connector.
Disengage terminal clip (← ).

Remove bolts and clip (1) from the control valve&TCM.

Remove the control valve&TCM from transmission case.
CAUTION: When removing, be careful with the manual valve (1) notch and manual plate (2) height. Remove it vertically.

Remove A/T assembly connector (A) from the control valve&TCM using a flat-bladed screwdriver (B).
Disconnect TCM harness connector.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage connector.
