Rear Axle Hub Bolt: Replacement

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

REMOVE REAR WHEEL LH
DISCONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH (See COMPONENTS )
REMOVE REAR DISC LH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING LH (See COMPONENTS )
REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH (See COMPONENTS )
REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH (See COMPONENTS )
REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
REMOVE REAR AXLE LH HUB BOLT
1. Using SST and a screwdriver or equivalent to hold the axle hub, remove the hub bolt.

INSTALL REAR AXLE LH HUB BOLT
1. Temporarily install a washer and hub nut to a new hub bolt as shown in the illustration.
  NOTE: Install hub nuts to prevent damage to the hub bolts.
2. Using a screwdriver or equivalent to hold the hub, turn the hub nut until the bottom surface of the hub bolt head touches the axle hub.
3. Remove the washer and hub nut.
  NOTE: Do not damage the threads of the hub bolts.

INSTALL REAR DISC LH (See INSTALLATION )
ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE (See REASSEMBLY )
CONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH (See REASSEMBLY )
INSTALL REAR WHEEL LH
Torque: for Aluminum Wheel

131 N*m (1336 kgf*cm, 97 ft.*lbf)

for Steel Wheel

209 N*m (2131 kgf*cm, 154 ft.*lbf)
CHECK PARKING BRAKE TRAVEL (See ADJUSTMENT )
