Inspection Procedure

1. Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the washer fluid level warning switch.

   Techstream 

   COMBINATION METER
   
   

   Tester Display	Measurement Item/Range	Normal Condition	Diagnostic Note
   Washer Switch	Washer fluid level warning switch / ON or OFF	ON: Washer jar is empty OFF: Washer jar is full	-

   OK: On tester screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart. 

   NG: Go to step 2 

   OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  

1. Disconnect the A27 switch connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   WASHER FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A27-1 (S) - A27-2 (E)	Washer jar is empty	Below 1 Ω
   A27-1 (S) - A27-2 (E)	Washer jar is full	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPLACE WASHER FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the A27 switch connector.
2. Disconnect the J28 meter connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   WASHER FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH COMBINATION METER
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A27-1 (S) - J28-10 (WLVL)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A27-2 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A27-1 (S) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY  (See COMBINATION METER )
