Diagnosis System

  1. BUS CHECK 
    1. Select "CAN Bus Check" from the "System Select".
  2. CHECK INSTALLED SYSTEMS (ECUS AND SENSORS) THAT USE CAN COMMUNICATION 
    1. Systems (ECUs and sensors) that use CAN communication vary depending on the vehicle's optional settings. Check which systems (ECUs and sensors) are installed on the vehicle.

      Outer mirror control ECU (Driver Door/Mirror) Vehicle with front power seat control system (w/ Seat memory)
      Multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU (Tilt & Telescopic) Vehicle with front power seat control system (w/ Seat memory)
  3. DTC TABLE BY ECU 

    HINT:

    • In the CAN communication system, CAN communication system DTCs output by the ECU can be displayed by using the Techstream.
    • If CAN communication system DTCs are output, the trouble cannot be determined solely from the DTCs. Perform troubleshooting according to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  .
    1. MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU

      HINT:

      DTC communication uses the CAN communication system.

    5. COMBINATION METER ECU

      HINT:

    6. AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER

      HINT:

    7. STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

      HINT:

      The steering angle sensor is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

    8. CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR

      HINT:

      The center airbag sensor is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

    9. 4WD CONTROL ECU

      For vehicle with 4 wheel drive only.

      HINT:

      The 4WD control ECU is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

    10. BUS BUFFER ECU

      For vehicle with bus buffer ECU only.

      HINT:

      The bus buffer ECU is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

    11. FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH LH

      For vehicle with front power seat control system (w/ Seat memory) only.

      HINT:

      The front power control seat ECU and switch LH is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

    12. OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU

      For vehicle with front power seat control system (w/ Seat memory) only.

      HINT:

      The outer mirror control ECU and switch LH is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.
