Tilt Sensor Circuit Inspection

  1. CHECK TILT STEERING MECHANISM

Check the operation malfunction caused by steering wheel tilt mechanism deformation or parts are loose.

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 2.
    2. NG: Repair the malfunctioning part and check again.
  2. CHECK FUNCTION

    With CONSULT-II

With "TILT SEN" on the DATA MONITOR, operate the tilt switch to check that the voltage changes.

      1. 46 (P/L) - 2 (P/L): Continuity should exist.
      2. 53 (L/W) - 3 (L/W): Continuity should exist.
      3. 54 (LG/B) - 1 (LG/B): Continuity should exist.
    3. BCM connector M4 terminals 46 (P/L), 53 (L/W), 54 (LG/B) and ground.
      1. 46 (P/L) - Ground: Continuity should not exist.
      2. 53 (L/W) - Ground: Continuity should not exist.
      3. 54 (LG/B) - Ground: Continuity should not exist.

    OK or NG

    1. OK: Replace tilt sensor.
    2. NG: Repair or replace harness between BCM and tilt sensor.
