Telescopic Sensor Circuit Inspection

  1. CHECK STEERING WHEEL TILT MECHANISM

Check the operation malfunction caused by steering wheel tilt mechanism deformation or parts are loose.

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 2.
    2. NG: Repair the malfunctioning part and check again.
  2. CHECK FUNCTION

    With CONSULT-II

Operate the telescopic switch with "TELESCO SEN" on the DATA MONITOR to check that the voltage changes.

  3. CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY
    1. Disconnect BCM connector and telescopic sensor connector.
    2. Check continuity harness between BCM connector M4 terminals 53 (L/W), 54 (LG/B), 62 (P/B) and telescopic sensor connector M59 terminals 1 (LG/B), 2 (P/B), 3 (L/W).
      1. 53 (L/W) - 3 (L/W): Continuity should exist.
      2. 54 (LG/B) - 1 (LG/B): Continuity should exist.
      3. 62 (P/B) - 2 (P/B): Continuity should exist.
    3. Check continuity harness between BCM connector M4 terminals 53 (L/W), 54 (LG/B), 62 (P/B) and ground.
      1. 53 (L/W) - Ground: Continuity should not exist.
      2. 54 (LG/B) - Ground: Continuity should not exist.
      3. 62 (P/B) - Ground: Continuity should not exist.
