Proportioning Valve

CAUTION:
On ABS equipped vehicles, disconnect ABS actuator wiring harness connector before testing.
NOTE:
Depress brake pedal slowly when raising brake fluid pressure.
Raise and support vehicle. Remove front left tire. Using 2 pressure gauges, attach one to a front brake bleeder and one to a rear brake bleeder. Bleed air from front and rear pressure gauges. Depress brake pedal slowly until front brake pressure reading is achieved. Check rear brake pressure. See PROPORTIONING VALVE PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS table. If not within specification, replace master cylinder assembly.
