Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Circuit Check

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Check the terminals and connector of steering wheel angle sensor for damage, bend and loose connection. (sensor-side and harness-side)

    OK or NG

    1. OK >> GO TO 2.
    2. NG >> Repair terminal or connector.
  2. CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT 
    1. Disconnect steering wheel angle sensor connector.
    2. Check resistance between steering wheel angle sensor harness connector M52 terminals 4(LG/B) and 5(P/B).

      4(LG/B) - 5(P/B) : Approx. 54-66ohm

    OK or NG

    1. OK >> Replace steering wheel angle sensor.
    2. NG >> Repair harness between splice points M13, M14 and steering wheel angle sensor.
