Inspection After Removal

Check if there is something wrong with jacket tube and collar. Then if they are damaged, replace with new one respectively.

• If vehicle is involved in a light collision, check dimension "L" as shown. If it is not within specification, replace steering column as an assembly.

  1. Steering column length "L": 
     1. 613 - 615 mm 613 - 615 mm (24.13 - 24.21 in) 
• Check the turning torque of steering column with preload gauge. If it is out of the specified value, repair it or replace with new one.
  1. Turning torque: 
     1. 0 - 0.2 N-m (0 - 0.021 kg-m, 0 - 1 in-lb)
