Diagnostic Procedure

With CONSULT-II 

1. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. (Do not start engine.)
2. Select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode for "ENGINE" with CONSULT-II. Refer to "CONSULT-II FUNCTIONS".

OK or NG 

1. OK >> GO TO 2.
2. NG >> Check the DTC detected item. Go To "CONSULT-II FUNCTIONS".
   • If CAN communication line is detected, go to "DTC U1000 CAN COMMUNICATION LINE ".

With CONSULT-II 

1. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. (Do not start engine.)
2. Select "ECU INPUT SIGNALS" in "DATA MONITOR" mode for "A/T" with CONSULT-II.
3. Depress accelerator pedal and read out the value of "ACCLE POS" and "THROTTLE POSI".

   Check engine speed changes according to throttle position.

4. Select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode for "ENGINE" with CONSULT-II. Refer to "SELF-DIAG RESULTS MODE".

OK or NG 

1. OK >> GO TO 3.
2. NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.

Perform "DTC Confirmation Procedure". Refer to "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE ".

OK or NG 

1. OK >> INSPECTION END 
2. NG >> GO TO 4.

1. Perform TCM input/output signal inspection.
2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

OK or NG 

1. OK >> INSPECTION END 
2. NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
