DTC Confirmation Test (Using CONSULT-II)

  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds. Turn ignition on. Select SELF-LEARNING CONT in WORK SUPPORT mode with CONSULT-II. Clear self-learning control coefficient by pressing CLEAR.
  2. Select DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-II. Start engine and let it idle for at least 10 minutes. If 1st trip DTC P0171 or P0174 is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If 1st trip DTC P0171 or P0174 is not detected, go to next step.
  3. If it is difficult to start engine, fuel injection system has a malfunction. Crank engine while depressing accelerator pedal. If engine starts, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If engine does not start, visually check for intake and exhaust leaks.
