DTC P1226: Closed Throttle Position Learning Performance Problem: Description

Electric throttle control actuator consists of throttle control motor, Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor, Throttle Position (TP) sensor, etc. TP sensor responds to throttle valve movement. TP sensor has 2 sensors. Sensors are a kind of potentiometer which transforms throttle valve position into output voltage, and emits voltage signal to ECM. In addition, these sensors detect opening and closing speed of throttle valve and feed voltage signals to ECM. ECM judges current opening angle of throttle valve from these signals and ECM controls throttle control motor to make throttle valve opening angle correct in response to driving condition.
