Possible Causes

Malfunction is detected when idle speed is less than target idle speed by 100 RPM or more. Possible causes are:

NOTE: If target idle speed is not 600-700 RPM with air conditioner off (700 RPM or more with air conditioner on), perform idle air volume learning procedure before proceeding. See IDLE AIR VOLUME LEARNING  under PROGRAMMING.
NOTE: Before proceeding, ensure battery voltage is more than 11 volts at idle and ambient temperature is more than 14°F (-10°C).
