DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Set voltmeter probes between ECM terminal No. 16 (HO2S1 Bank 1 signal) or No. 35 (HO2S1 Bank 2 signal) and engine ground.
  3. Check that voltage does not remain in the range of .2 to .4 volt with engine speed held at 2000 RPM with no load. If not to specification, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  .
