Component Inspection (Intake Valve Timing Control Position Sensor)

1. Disconnect intake valve timing control position sensor harness connector.
2. Loosen fixing bolt of sensor. Remove sensor.
3. Visually check sensor for chipping.
4. Check resistance. See Fig 1 . For specifications, see INTAKE VALVE TIMING CONTROL POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE  table.
5. If not to specification, replace intake valve timing control position sensor.
