Door Switch Check

  1. Measure voltage by backprobing between appropriate SECU terminals and ground. See DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL CHECK  table. If voltages are not as specified, go to next step. If voltages are as specified, door switch is okay.
  2. Perform appropriate door switch test. See SWITCHES  under COMPONENT TESTS. If switch is okay, inspect door switch ground circuit and/or Red/White, Red/Blue or Sky Blue wire between SECU and door switch for open or short.
DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL CHECK

Switch (Terminal No.) (1) /Condition Voltage
Left Front Door (1)
Open 0 Volts
Closed About 5 Volts
Right Front Door (2)
Open 0 Volts
Closed About 5 Volts
Both Rear Doors (3)
Open 0 Volts
Closed About 5 Volts
