Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

NOTE: If battery is disconnected for a prolonged period of time, all diagnostic information is cleared.

Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to DLC. See Figure. To identify circuits and wire colors referenced in testing, see SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Turn ignition on. Enter CLEAR CODES or Mode 4 on scan tool.
