Hazard Reminder Check

  1. Check for correct hazard light operation. Turn hazard light switch to ON position and observe hazard lights. If hazard lights operate correctly, go to next step. If hazard lights do not operate correctly, see appropriate wiring diagram in EXTERIOR LIGHTS article.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Smart Entrance Control Unit (SECU) Gray 24-pin connector. Measure voltage between ground and terminals No. 47 (Green/Black wire) and No. 48 (Green/Yellow wire). See Figure . Push LOCK or UNLOCK button. Voltage should be present. Release button. No voltage should be present. If voltage is as specified, system is currently functioning correctly. If voltage is not as specified, replace SECU.
